Hotel Suitess
Review of Suitess, Dresden by JL132

Advantages: really great hotel rooms and facilities
Disadvantages: expensive

The hotel is really in the middle of Dresden's old town and a 5-star superior hotel, in other words, a true luxury hotel. It lies adjacent to mostly old buildings. So the whole gives it a very nice "old fashioned" atmosphere but the hotel inside provides ... Read review

Autobahnmotel Dresdner Tor Hotel, Dresden
Review of Eliance Dresdner Tor Sud, Dresden by proxam

Advantages: bargain
Disadvantages: No AC, price of water

After leaving Eisenach, our next port-of-call on our tour of Germany was Saxony, and in particular, the area around Dresden. We wanted a hotel which would allow us to explore the surrounding area - perhaps take a detour into Poland or the Czech Republic, ... Read review

At €39 per room per night, I can see why the bottled water was €2.40, although that is a bit steep for 25ml...? Remember also that most bottles carry a Pfand, or deposit of anything from 50c to €1. Actually, the tap water in Germany is perfectly potable, so long as one remembers to retain the empties. Good review! by pgn0

Disadvantages: an overkill of splendour

The Green Vault is a must-see for any visitor to Dresden, the capital of Saxony in the east of Germany. It's Europe's most sumptuous treasure chamber, if you haven't heard of it yet, this may be due to the fact that it was hidden behind the Iron Curtain f ... Read review

Gronau ist also a very beautiful city. There is a pyramid and old romantic factories. You can ride a bicycle easyly because there are no mountains. We have a nice city park with much green and animals. The river Dinkel is romantic and we have the only Rockmuseum at Germany. :-) by gracia
I'm surprised no one has awarded this an E. It's beautifully written and so thoughtful. I only managed to get one of your links to work, but I can see what you mean totally. These really are pointless 'trinkets', and yet this is, somehow, the point itself. I think it would probably make me feel uncomfortable to see all the wealth, effort and talent that could have been spent on something more.... worthy? by sonic020

A LOT OF LUXURY FOR NOT TOO MANY EUROS
Review of NH, Dresden by RICHADA

Advantages: Value for money. Sparkling clean. Superb food.
Disadvantages: Noisy trams if you get the wrong room.

An apology for boring you all with yet another travel / hotel review, but hopefully this one will be just a little different, due to our initial and entirely unscheduled discovery of this particular hotel. Indeed you could say that the room here fell into ... Read review

How do you get so much detail in all your reviews? I am in awe! Another E without question. by l-m-n-o-p
Ah, our first move to the UK was with one backpack, one holdall and one guitair between us. All my worldly possessions had been sold/chucked/given away and we didn't have a car to cart anything. The second move was similar (add a 2.5 year old). Neither of which has anything to do with the Dresden hotel, of course. by magdadh

Advantages: Fine craftsmanship, free
Disadvantages: Can be a bit crowded in the Summer
