At €39 per room per night, I can see why the bottled water was €2.40, although that is a bit steep for 25ml...? Remember also that most bottles carry a Pfand, or deposit of anything from 50c to €1. Actually, the tap water in Germany is perfectly potable, so long as one remembers to retain the empties. Good review! by pgn0

Gronau ist also a very beautiful city. There is a pyramid and old romantic factories. You can ride a bicycle easyly because there are no mountains. We have a nice city park with much green and animals. The river Dinkel is romantic and we have the only Rockmuseum at Germany. :-) by gracia

I'm surprised no one has awarded this an E. It's beautifully written and so thoughtful. I only managed to get one of your links to work, but I can see what you mean totally. These really are pointless 'trinkets', and yet this is, somehow, the point itself. Advantages: Value for money. Sparkling clean. Superb food.

Ah, our first move to the UK was with one backpack, one holdall and one guitair between us. All my worldly possessions had been sold/chucked/given away and we didn't have a car to cart anything. The second move was similar (add a 2.5 year old). Neither of which has anything to do with the Dresden hotel, of course. by magdadh
