I'll never quite be able to bring myself to extol the virtues of the job centre staff. I totally agree that they don't really take much notice of what you write down in respect of jobs you apply for. I was told after about 6 weeks of signing that I'd have to lower my salary expectations and change my hours of availability for work, i.e be available to work night shifts and weekends, i told them quite frankly that wasn't going to happen and if they tried to force me to change that on my paperwork I'd be making a formal written complaint to JCP management, funny how quickly they backed down. I made it quite clear that I'd only ever worked Monday to Friday office hours and office work and they were trying to tell me I should make myself available for warehouse work, bunch of twits! My "advisor" found it hard to hide her dismay when I went to sign off with a job paying far more than the amount they had make me drop my salary expectations to (in fact, I knew this was considerably more than she was being paid to patronise me every fortnight)! by anonymili
