This is a very frightening situation, and I'm afraid women are not being given the information they need to make an informed choice. I 'm afraid the NHS does pay doctors a premium to convince women to use these and extra premiums if they keep them in. For this reason a local hospital tried to force me to keep an IUD in inspite of nearly bleeding to death from the bloody thing - better to risk my life than risk the premium. I won't rate this as I don't want to rate down, and for a higher rate this would need more detail on the IUD in general, but I can tell how upset you are. I would strongly recommend googling: The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust and having a look at their forum. The ladies there are very well informed and may be able to help you. Thanks for your recommendation Rachael. Ovysmen, like Cilest and Dianette is combined and like you I found it was a breeze. I was a bit grumpy for a few weeks at the start but nothing like Cerazette! They won't let me take it anymore because I'm overweight and forced me on POP (namely Cerazette) instead. by Queggys88
