Review of Fly Away Home - Jennifer Weiner by xd-o-n-z-x

Advantages: Plot, character
Disadvantages: nothing majors

I recently found this book in a charity shop, and I have to say that it was the cover that caught my attention (I know, I know, you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but I couldn’t help it this time!). The book in question is called ‘Fly Away Home’ an ... Read review

Take Mum Out
Review of Take Mum Out - Fiona Gibson by jules.34

Advantages: A Great Read
Disadvantages: Cannot think of Any

I have read some of Fiona Gibson's books before and this one, like the others, was very well written. One of the books I previously read by this author - 'Lucky Girl' - I found quite a heavy read, but in general she usually writes quite light hearted, ea ... Read review

I like witches that amuse me.
Review of Wyrd Sisters - Terry Pratchett by CoffeeQueen68

Advantages: An entertaining book to read and great storyline.
Disadvantages: None.

An excellent read you won't want to put down!
Review of Rogue Lawyer - John Grisham by MsTricia

Advantages: gripping, humorous, brilliantly written, a page turner
Disadvantages: cliffhanger ending left me wanting more!

I love a good book, but often in life I don’t have as much time to read as I’d like. However, when I got a £10 amazon voucher, the first thing that sprung to mind was definitely to get a new novel to dig into! I often stick to the same kind of genre, or I ... Read review

Innocence Hidden Underneath The City
Review of Innocence - Dean Koontz by gothic_moon

Advantages: Intriguing premise that keeps you guessing, atmospheric, depth of characters
Disadvantages: A bit 'out there', a tad repetitive/slow at times

As a fan of Dean Koontz, I was quite looking forward to giving this a read when I came across it in the library a couple of weeks ago. He can be a little ‘out there’ with his writing, though he maintains a distinct sense of grounded realism that makes hi ... Read review

Advantages: Excellent source of information.
Disadvantages: None noted.

Review of Scold's Bridle - Minette Walters by mikeyc123

Advantages: well written, many twists and a few red herrings
Disadvantages: won't be to everyones taste

This is the first Minette Walters novel which I have read and picked it up for £1.50 from a local charity shop. Walters does not use a single detective or villager in her novels and each one is a stand-alone story so the order you read them in is of no re ... Read review

Review of Queen's Gambit - Elizabeth Fremantle by Nymphypig

Advantages: Fantastically dramatic and readable novel of Katherine PaRR

About Time
Review of Thief of Time - Terry Pratchett by hiker

Advantages: Thought-provoking despite the delightful silliness
