The Start Of A Superb Series
Review of Dissolution - C.J. Sansom by missrarr

Advantages: Intelligent, well thought out historical mystery
Disadvantages: Not for those who aren't into their history; the characters develop better in future books

I'm always on the lookout for a new book. For me, during periods over which I am working, because of my commute I tend to get in late and have little time to unwind once I'm through the door of an evening – but I also need to unwind and clear my head of w ... Read review

Review of Alice in the Country of Hearts - Quin Rose by LittleKittyKat123

Advantages: Interesting story, love the theme, easy read, humor, not completely romance,
Disadvantages: May be a little too over-the-top for some people

Alice in the Country of Hearts is a compelling story about love and relationships within peoples lives and how they effect a person. The basis of the fantasy story is a huge twist off of Alice in wonderland. The books are graphic novels, which is why I re ... Read review

Very interesting and detailed, you certainly conveyed why you liked the set. Will have a look for this the next time I'm around graphic novels. On a sidenote - I think spaces between the paragraphs and/or headers might help make the review more 'readable'. by ladyofflame

Dune doesn't live up to the hype, but still good
Review of Dune - Frank Herbert by Siubijeni

Advantages: Classic, interesting premise
Disadvantages: Highly internalized, little action or even adventure, many inaccuracies/implausibilities

I find Dune to be something of an interesting case. As a classic science fiction novel, it receives a lot of praise and publicity. It's certainly a good enough book, and probably worth a read for sci-fi fans, but it doesn't even come close to living up to ... Read review

The Cobra Trilogy is Well Worth the Read
Review of The Cobra Trilogy - Timothy Zahn by Siubijeni

Advantages: Interesting premise, outstanding characters, believable plot
Disadvantages: Timeskip confusions, some unclear/undeveloped references

Angelmass Sucked Me In Like a Black Hole
Review of Angelmass - Timothy Zahn by Siubijeni

Advantages: Interesting plot, good (if sparse) action scenes, excellent pacing
Disadvantages: "Pseudo-science," minor inconsistencies, painful political scenes

Angelmass might not be full of action scenes, but I still find that it holds the attention quite effectively. It doesn't really have any really slow points, nor does it ever come across as rushed. The plot does have a few holes caused by some pseudo-sci ... Read review

Bearing in mind both your enthusiasm for the book - and the obvious work you put into producing this review - I feel a tad mean only VHing it, but unfortunately it isn't quite what we're looking for in a book review - which is exactly why I don't write book reviews - because they'd look very much like this one!
