I don't have the same love of literature from that region as you do. But even so, from your description, I thank you for the warning and shall avoid. I too have read books (or tried to read books) that were highly regarded - the one that springs to mind is The Unbearable Lightness of Being. I just couldn't relate. by mattygroves
