Sorry, but I don't see any real opinion on the console itself - e.g. how it runs, the availability of games, etc. It seems you have just had some bad experiences with preowned consoles (which can't be trusted). I, personally, have owned my console since 2009 and have never had any trouble with it. "Red ring" is also a generic term that doesn't tell the consumer much. It occurs in a variety of situations when the console must shut itself down, for example a hardware malfunction, overheating or a programming error. It's similar to blue screen in Windows. I think the store you bought the console from is at fault because they seem to have provided faulty equipment. by tb240904
