Tesco HM09 Hand Food Mixer
Review of Tesco HM09 by K2705

Advantages: Good price, powerful
Disadvantages: The shape is a bit bulky for smaller bowls

...I had been using a Tesco Value one for the past 4 years and was happy with it, however just over a month ago I was doing a batch of baking and managed to drop the mixer, it never worked properly after that. ... Read review

Handy review - are the beaters dishwasher safe though? Usually chrome beaters are a no-no to me as they end up flaking off. by Nar2

The price won't put you into a spin!
Review of Asda 6 Speed Hand Mixer by NotMyToothbrush

Advantages: Cheap, easy to clean, 6 speed.
Disadvantages: Short table

This hand mixer retails at around £10 but is frequently on sale. This made it perfect for us a couple of years ago when we really didn't have much spare cash after moving houses and we didn't really NEED a hand mixer, it was really just for occasional use ... Read review

@nar2, oh yeah, for some reason I wasn't able to think of that it was called xD by NotMyToothbrush
When you say "hand hole", do you mean handle? Fair opinion but in my experience, not all hand mixers are the same. One only needs to look in the secondary schools - they all use either Kenwood or Russell Hobbs - the Tesco and Argos ones seem to be too fragile and there was a time when Argos ones had dangerous chrome whisks that would often flake off in baking. Actual Speeds and price would be handy to know as well as actual weight, noise levels and if the whisks can be clipped to the machine of ease of storage or separately. Cookworks Hand Mixer - no need for a fancy processor
Review of Cookworks HM729WB by madeindevon

Advantages: Good price, good product

Handy review but a food processor does so much more and Argos back in the 1990s had budget food processors priced at £20. I know cos I had one. This machine is different though as it only mixes and whilst the review is good and informative, it is no way a good alternative to a food processor that offers so much more. by Nar2

Food mixer not much control
Review of Gino D'Acampo EK0557 by GrandmaKarren

Advantages: Looks nice. Light weight
Disadvantages: So little difference in speeds makes it not really fit for purpose

I bought this food mixer as I like Gino's no nonsence approach to cooking. It looks nice, is not too heavy (especially for my grand daughter who helps me) but sadly fails as soon as you switch it on. There is very little or no difference in the speeds. The ... Read review

I want one! by carcraig
Good review although I think Russell Hobbs definitely copied Kenwood with their Kmix hand blender. This one seems to be heavier than my 1.5 kg Mix and with 100 watts less power. I don't think a timer is particularly worthy but I suppose it is unique, if nothing else! by Nar2
