Co-ordinating Grade Increases
Review of Co-ordination Group Publications by zoe_page

Advantages: Colourful, fun, well explained
Disadvantages: More for recapping than initial learning

Although at times I’m told I look like a 16 year old, believe it or not I’m not one. And, being a 20 year old 3rd year uni student, you might think I’d have no use for text books aimed at GCSE students… but you’d be wrong. ... Read review

I used these books to help me revise for my GCSEs. They explain things simply but I agree with you that they shouldn't be used on their own for revision. I found the lack of detail in some areas really frustrating and had to turn to other books for help. Great op. by VerySpecialOne
I'll be checking if my son is using these as he sits his GCSE's next year. Very useful op. by gardenguru1

Advantages: Concise definitions of words and generous examples of usage
Disadvantages: The price is very expensive for me.

By the early stages of learning a foreign language, certainly a good bilingual dictionary is required very much. When we have reached a point at which we think that we need a better dictionary, having a monolingual dictionary should be considered. B ... Read review

A very eye opening detailed opinion. Being a good few years past my own school days, and not having children of my own, I honestly wasn't aware how bad things were with all this. V. by vialdana
Ah, I remember it well! Multiple exam boards and lucky you if you got the Cambridge exam papers! What a lousy system it has turned into. You have to have consistency across the board and enough staff to carry the job through properly. In the end it's the reputation of British education that suffers as well as students like yourself who must sometimes be left wondering how well you really did DESPITE having received your exam results! by sdwill

seems like agood book for management grads.. shall recommend it to my friends :) happiness always, Pallavi by jilmil
Grief - I thought I was living in a bad dream there for a moment - brave woman - mine has been tucked to the back of the wardrobe never to see the light of day again - I didn't enjoy this book whatsoever, apart from anything trying to revise with it balanced on my knee on the settee transpired to be the best cure for insomnia I have discovered in years - its quite ironic when I was doing my degree it was Thompson that was all the rage - and I hated that then, but now compared to this it definitely has got a bit of an airing over the last year - its amazing how little these books really change from edition to edition - usually just the chapter numbers and sometimes the case studies if something more interesting comes along - although the Man U one was particularly interesting. Good luck with your 2nd year - I am just starting fully on my thesis - and having now seen your profile and work background I might be back to pick your brains (if you have time - I am truly glad mine is over - if I knew then what I know now).
