Keeping the switch obsessive safe
Review of Clippasafe Plug Socket Covers by sandemp

Advantages: Unobtrusive, fit flush, easy for adult to remove, cheap
Disadvantages: Will stand out if you have anything other that white socket plates

Two and a half year old Freddy has something of an obsession with switches and given half a chance will sneakily press on any switch that he can find. While the only problem with him continually switching lights on and off is that we go through an unprece ... Read review

Good, but a bit too heavyweight.
Review of Lindam Extending Baby Gate by Loistarr

Advantages: Gets the job done - even with some flaws.
Disadvantages: Hinges are weak compared to the weight, and the gate isn't too practical.

We recently rescued a puppy, and within a few days, he was bounding up the stairs and running into the bedrooms. We decided to purchase one of these baby gates, having been told that they're great. When we started to put the gate up, it was somewhat diff ... Read review

Essential if you have small kids, especially if you have two!
Review of Clevamama X-Large Corner Cushions by xbrightx

Advantages: Safer for sharp corners,

Lindam Stairgate keeps your little ones safe.
Review of Lindam Easy Fit Plus Gate by milkymum

Advantages: Strong and durable
Disadvantages: Has an annoying catch.

I first used Lindam Stair Gates when I had my daughter three and a half years ago. I bought two gates in total and use one for the bottom of the stairs and one for the kitchen. I have since had another child who is 18 months, which is why I still use them ... Read review

We gave up on the self-supporting steel gates, with their lower frame that is so easy to catch and trip over when you've arms full of washing in front of you... the latest ones we have are wooden and are fastened to one side of the stair banister, with two little cups that mount on the wall-side. Good review. by pgn0
They are good, we have two. But after a while they do damage the doorframe/wall paintwork. :) by Novabug

Not good for little fingers
Review of Tippitoes Pressure Fit Safety Gate by fallen_flame

Advantages: Closes firmly and can't be opened by toddler
Disadvantages: The catch at the bottom is big enough to trap small curious fingers.

Well, the stairgate does exactly what it says on the tin. It stops my son escaping out of the room. We've had this stairgate since my son started walking, so quite a while now. We had absolutely no problems with it until my son has got more interested in ... Read review

Squashed Fingers Be Gone
Review of Clippasafe Door Stopper by sandemp

Advantages: Easy to use, portable, fits variety of doors, stops door slamming, protects little fingers
Disadvantages: Doesn't completely protect on hinge side of door

Anyone who has a toddler in their house will know that they have a real fascination with doors and love shutting them as loudly as they can. The trouble is that they find it far harder to open the door than shut it and dislike being shut in a room. Not on ... Read review

Disadvantages: can be tricky to install, pricey
