Advantages: Fast, comfortable, looks good. On a motorway surprisingly good on fuel. Wonderful value.

Pay a little more for a better, more popular car and you might find the depreciation isn't that bad. If your friend had spent £5k more on an Avensis he might find it's worth £7k more at resale. You're right, TCO (Total cost of ownership) should be how people value a car not just the ticket price. by brereton66
