For some reason I expected something to be white... Sounds like a good spot to visit the Phoenician and Roman ruins in the area. Unlike Leptis Minor (in neighbouring Tunisia) I suspect the ruins in Libya would have suffered less at the hands of the Vandals. Great write-up. by pgn0

What a shame the hotel is in such a bad area. One that should be avoided altogether from the sounds of things.
