Red Hot World Buffet, Manchester - not a child friendly restaurant.
Review of Red Hot World Buffet, Manchester by
Beckles1979
Advantages: None - I was not allowed entry to the restaurant as I had a baby with me.
Disadvantages: Not child friendly. You are only allowed to use the lift if you're disabled and not for a pram.
I cannot understand why children under 10 can dine for half price as stated by the previous reviewer, when this is not a child friendly restaurant. I went to meet my husband for lunch mid-week with my 7 month old baby. When my husband asked the member ...

Manchester's Stunning Taj Mahal
Review of The John Rylands Library, Manchester by
fizzytom
Advantages: Architecturally important and stunning; free; truly memorable
Disadvantages: Not all areas wheelchair accessible
Standing outside the John Rylands Library on Manchester's Deansgate on a blustery Saturday afternoon, I noticed how many people walked by without giving the magnificent red stone building a look. Perhaps some of them live in Manchester and have passed by ...

A relaxing way to start your holiday
Review of Bewley's Hotel Manchester Airport, Manchester by
nikkired
Advantages: On airport's doorstep, comfortable, good value, carparking for duration of holiday
Disadvantages: Very warm rooms, easy to miss from road
As we live nearly two hours drive from Manchester Airport we generally tend to find the drive down the M6/M62, finding of the carpark and commute to the airport quite a stressful situation, worrying about hold-ups on the motorway, not being able ...

Nice building, shame about the bar staff
Review of Lloyds No. 1, Printworks, Manchester by
Russells_Teapot
Advantages: Good location
Disadvantages: Difficult to actually spend your money there unless you stand in the right place
The building itself is very nice, spacious and well laid-out. Unfortunately I can't comment on the quality of the drinks/food because it wasn't actually possible to order anything.
The pub wasn't particularly busy when I went in, indeed me and three frie ...

Magnificent Mixology in Manchester
Review of Socio Rehab, Manchester by
DonPaolo
Advantages: Atmosphere, service, variety of drinks, Mixology classes are great fun
Disadvantages: Very few disadvantages, some drinks a tad pricey, but that's nit-picking
“Preparation…” (An introduction)
Socio Rehab is a cocktail bar in Manchester’s popular Northern Quarter. It’s situated on Edge Street, but there’s no name over the door, so you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled if you’re visiting for the first time. ...

Review of The Runway Visitor Park, Manchester by
LadyValkyrie
Advantages: excellent value, superb for plane enthusiasts, plenty for children 4+, lovely facilities
Disadvantages: would be good to have playground toys suitable for under 4s

Gives Manchester night life a bad image
Review of The Printworks, Manchester by
RufusUK
Advantages: Decent door staff, under one roof so no getting wet, taxis available
Disadvantages: Bad crowd of regulars, trouble is very common, too many drunks
The Printworks in Manchester City Centre could be great. It has cheap restaurants doing the usual burger and chips stuff, a cinema, a gym and many bars. It even has two taxi ranks outside and several cash machines close by. In theory this place should be ...

A fascinating museum inside a Towns Hall
Review of Museum Of The Manchester Regiment, Ashton-Under-Lyne by
blissman70
Advantages: family friendly, although some things are a little scary, and well worth a visit
Disadvantages: doesn't take long to get around
I have been visiting places recently, especially over the schools summer holidays as my kids tend to get bored quite easily if we’re trapped in the house all the time, which leads to them arguing and fighting with each other.
So, the wife and I have had t ...
