Welcome back. I too am a fan of - and frequent writer in - the Cafe, but I think it is a mistake to neglect the more bread-and-butter product side of the site, which is its main raison-d'etre. As to the approach of members to the site, I think we have to recognise that every member has his/her own motives for being here, and has a right to review what they want to review in whatever way they want to review it. You can always choose to down-rate (or ignore entirely) their output if you don't think it's up to much. by torr

Excellent review - have to admit, I agree with your line of thinking about rating newer reviewers; then again, I do tend to be a "glass-half-full" person, so I can often find something "useful" in even short reviews. (One thing I've found I do since I started writing on here is reading short reviews on other sites or in the paper and thinking, "That's too short to be a review - it's a comment!") by KateHurst

This made me smile, drivers not indicating is one that really bugs me when I'm walking to work, as you never know if you can cross a road or if they're suddenly going to turn and run you over. As a driver myself, I don't understand why people don't indicate...it's not exactly difficult! by Gingerkitty

Many of these films are on the 2011 and 2012 lists I'm drafting next week; I've the lists ready, I just need to finish writing a paragraph or two for each one. Kudos on including MARGIN CALL (more people need to watch that one), THE RAID (even better than DREDD), ANIMAL KINGDOM (winner of 12 australian academy awards, cant go wrong), and DRIVE (a badass film with a badass Ryan Gosing). :) by eve6kicksass
