I can hear the African beat
Review of Remo Kids Djembe by mumsymary

Advantages: good tone
Disadvantages: none

We have a Remo kids Rainforest Djembe in our musical equipment collection at school. This is really a super drum I love to use it, either to bang on myself or to give to the children to use. This drum is shaped like a goblet with a fibreskin drumhead ... Read review

Boom boom music from a lollipop drum
Review of Percussion Plus PP1189 Lollipop Drum by mumsymary

Advantages: easy to play
Disadvantages: none

Music is very important to us all. We have many “toy” instruments at the special needs school where I work. One of these is the lollipop drum from Remo. When you look at this it is obvious why it is called a lollipop drum. The lollipop drum comes in 3 ... Read review

Zildjian 18'' A-custom Crash: Great sound/ Great Product
Review of Zildjian 18" A-Custom Crash by luckydubefan94

Advantages: Great sound quality, good mileage, reputable brand
Disadvantages: Price

The ZIldjian 18'' A-Custom Crash, in my opinion (and many others), is one of the best crash cymbals out there. It's sound is medium heavy, with light tones after the initial swing. It is also great to ride on. The cymbal reacts very well to different s ... Read review

Zildjian 10'' Avedis Splash
Review of Zildjian 10" Avedis Splash by luckydubefan94

Advantages: great sound quality, reputable brand, well known among drummers
Disadvantages: 10'' may be too light

Ever hear Travis Barker's splash cymbal in the early stages of Blink 182? This is it. This splash provides a cutting tone that doesn't override the beat, but solely adds a great variety of tone to the music. In my opinion, it has a very light sound tha ... Read review

Zildjian Avedis Cymbals: Superb and versatile sound
Review of Zildjian Avedis Cymbal by luckydubefan94

Advantages: Versatile, reputable brand, durable, great sound
Disadvantages: Slightly expensive

The title doesn't specify which type of cymbal, but the picture shows the hi-hat. Hence, I'll talk about the wide-range of Avedis cymbals. The hi-hat's sound quality is great! In my opinion, one could use this for rock, jazz, reggae, or alternative mus ... Read review

Pearl Free Floating Snare: Good sound quality, higher price level
Review of Pearl Free Floating snare by luckydubefan94

Advantages: Maple wood, solid sound, reputable brand
Disadvantages: Price, smaller head

The Maple wood in the drum produces a very solid and clear sound. In my opinion, it is slightly on the higher price side, but it is very worth it for the sound quality. It is smaller than most standard snare drums, but it's high quality maple wood makes ... Read review

Mapex Pro M - For the intermediate drummer!
Review of mapex pro-m by djohalo2

Advantages: Perfect for intermediate drummers, clear sound, many different versions, good and solid looking
Disadvantages: Probably not enough for the expert drummer, not easy to find more toms.

Since a year I have this drum set and I am very pleased with the quality and the looks of the drum. I must say this drum set is not enough for the expert drummer, though for this price it is perfect for the beginning/intermediate drummers. The price is r ... Read review

Sonor LTA 20 Tambourine 10"
Review of Sonor LTA 20 Tambourine by danielclark691

Advantages: Crisp, clean sound, high quality finish and attention to detail.
Disadvantages: £80 pricetag will put all but the serious musician off, availability may be an issue also.

Sonor may not be a name widely known when it comes to musical instruments, so I will give a small insight into the origins on the company. In 1875 in Weissenfels on the Saale in East Germany, a man called Johannes Link opened a small workshop making drums ... Read review

Review of Fender Squier Affinity MN BSB by mblain1

Advantages: 5 lever control is a big aspect. Highly reliable.
Disadvantages: The pick ups could be improved.

Disadvantages: Heavy price tag, stompbox sounds not always perfect
