Advantages: Galvenised body = no rust , Merc 5 cynlinder engine , loads of space , no cambelt ! Easy to maintain
Disadvantages: Really can't think of any. Low on power , but quick fix gives loads more and better mpg.

Advantages: Good gas millage, drives smooth
Disadvantages: Not much leg room in the back.

I'm old enough to remember having a ride in the back of one of these when it was new in 1971! Nice to see that yours has the original V8 - so many were converted to the Essex V6 (Ford) lump because of head gasget and over-heating problems. In a day and age when all cars look the same, British cars of the 70's really do stand out on the roads, many look better now than when new - the TR7 certainly falls into that category.
