A very good experience
Review of Covered Market, Oxford by CGholy

Advantages: Wonderful and quirky
Disadvantages: High prices, fish smell, and they don't all open on a Sunday

About The Covered Market The Covered Market lies within the heart of Oxford City Centre. It is an indoor market that has made it's place in Oxfordshire History for showcasing local talent and independant stalls. The video on it's website claims over 5 ... Read review

Diamond review   The jewel of Jericho
Review of Pierre Victoire, Oxford by Bollinger28

Advantages: Delicious food on a comprehensive Prix Fixe menu. Efficient service.
Disadvantages: No parking apart from rather expensive pay and display options in St Giles.

We spent a most pleasant week in Oxford during the Easter break this year and rented accommodation within fairly reasonable walking distance of the city centre. The owners of our property produced a very handy guide with lots of things to do in Oxford as ... Read review

Advantages: Welcoming and friendly. Attentive service.
Disadvantages: Extra charges for items that ought to be inclusive. Cold main course.

An instrumental museum for history
Review of Museum of the History of Science, Oxford by Mildew82

Advantages: Free, lots to see, plenty of info enhanced by audio tour, impressive and stunning collection
Disadvantages: Lots of repeat instruments, audio tour online, no toilets, disabled access limited

It’s fair to say history as a subject covers quite a wild spectrum of things, some of those things more interesting than others. For example, the history of the spatula probably isn’t going to appeal to too many people whereas science, on the other hand, ... Read review

Where medical science meets natural beauty
Review of University Of Oxford Botanic Garden, Oxford by Mildew82

Advantages: Cheap, beautiful location and design, a stunning array of species, lots of information available
Disadvantages: Information mostly only available through trails / tours which are easy to miss, few facilities

If you’re visiting Oxford one place you should definitely try to squeeze in is the Oxford Botanic Garden – it might be small spanning just 2 acres but it packs quite the punch. I wouldn’t advise driving as there is no car park on site and parking in Oxfor ... Read review

Review of Unlocked Oxford Castle, Oxford by Mildew82

Advantages: Great array of tour guides to lure you back, plenty of amenities, an enthralling history
Disadvantages: Limited area to explore, a little expensive, not ideal for wheelchair users, 101 steps

Curry on Regardless
Review of Chutney's Indian Restaurant, Oxford by 1st2thebar

Advantages: Where the famous dine - lunchtime food boxes
Disadvantages: Spatial design kicks out authenticity

My visits to South East Asian culinary houses aren’t a footnote at the end of an evening of propping up bars - they’re carefully considered prior digesting their efforts. I’ve been known to stick my head in at Chutneys and have a soft beverage at 12.32 pm ... Read review
