Advantages: MOT failure cover, Efficienty of Claims proceedure
Disadvantages: Having to organise the claim - can be fiddly, but you can email instead of post.

Advantages: Everything is covered - including air con, abs, ecu etc etc etc. Very comprehensive.
Disadvantages: Check the labour rate of your local garage before booking the "labour rate" option.
