A Moving but horrific memorial
Review of Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, Rwanda by catsholiday

Advantages: A sensitive place for those who suffered to remember their families who were killed
Disadvantages: Should never have been needed to be built.. A memorial to those who died in this awful event .

I saw Gorillas in the sunshine

Advantages: The most amazing wildlife experience
Disadvantages: It is expensive and not easy to get there

Parc des Volcanes - the ultimate Gorilla encounter

Advantages: Stunning scenery, friendly people - and Gorillas!!!
Disadvantages: Not the easiest to get to independently (but part of the experience)

Specifically travelled to Rwanda to experience the hike to see the endangered Mountain Gorillas. The experience was outstanding, much like the entire country, which is remarkable given the not so distant history. I believe there is no (or very little ... Read review
