Review of Santiago by catsholiday

Advantages: Very efficient, clean city with good seafood
Disadvantages: Concha Y Toro vineyard trip

Santiago is the capital city of Chile We flew into Santiago Airport and the drive into the city was about half an hour. The airport was very clean and efficient. There were sniffer dogs in abundance all around the luggage carousel area, they walked ove ... Read review

Skiing/Snowboarding from Santiago.
Review of Santiago by jimh1

Advantages: different unspoiled powder relaxed
Disadvantages: mid-priced

About 2 hours east of Santiago are the ski resorts of La Parva, El Colorado and Valle Nevado. All 3 resorts are connected (you can ski between them if you have the right pass) and there are plenty of runs and some world-class off-piste. You can make the t ... Read review

Hi and welcome to Ciao. I wish I could rate this VH as others have done, but it really tells me nothing about Santiago other than the skiing to be had away from the city. Strictly speaking, it's Off Topic, and, ideally, you should ask Ciao to create a new product category for Chilean skiing resorts. Duncan by torr

Chile In Winter
Review of Santiago by indiecater

Advantages: A relatively gentle introduction to South America.
Disadvantages: For such a big city it lacks a little in visitor attractions.

Santiago is a little out of sync with the continent in finds itself in. Most South American cities are known for their bustle and ability to scare the living daylights out of freshly arrived travellers, yet Chile's capital has a somewhat restrained and op ... Read review

hi really liked your review! however just a few mistakes had to crrect as i am half chilean and lived i santiago for a year. First one is the football team is not cola cola its colo colo this did make me giggle! Second is that i would say the buggest football team is la universidad de chile or la u for short. other then that great review. by olgita
Your review reminded me a lot of my time in lovely Santiago. I think perhaps you got the funicular price wrong - dont remember paying $1,200 for it - that would be steep! by bergmcberg

Santiago is a fine city. We stayed in a hostel called the hotal Londres, a huge, elegant building with high ceilings and shutters with ensuite rooms and breakfast, for about 12 dollars a night. We managed to go skiing at a resort only an hour's drive fr ... Read review
