A Novel 70s comeback that looses its charm
Review of Swan Teasmade by cyrila

Advantages: tea ready when you wake up
Disadvantages: noisy, needs to be reset each time

After having read a review on Ciao I decided to buy this and give it a go. The price was £59.99 from John Lewis exactly as the reviewer had said and was surprisingly modern looking as reviewed. I had been put off by the 70s image but I heard that teasmade ... Read review

Handy review though I think you're expecting too much - thie machine does exactly what the Goblin Teasmade original models did and Swan here have obviously designed it to be just so, not just from the look. It would be more helpful to know the actual size, in comparison to something as well as the fact that the tea it actually produces is hot enough. Also is the pot dishwasher safe, is it made of good quality, is the actual machine heavy>? by Nar2

Diamond review   I Wake Up to Something Hot and Steamy!
Review of Swan Teasmade by jo-1976

Advantages: Easy to use, makes tea in bed, modern design, reliable
Disadvantages: Unable to alter amount of water boiled, gives off light glow, noisy, bulky unit, no storage space

For Christmas 2011, my husband decided to surprise with a teasmade. This was rather a thoughtful gift with my needs in mind as I hate getting out of bed in the morning and I really can't function as a human being without at least one cup of tea when I wak ... Read review

When it's my turn to get the drinks in I know what i'm offering
Review of Breville Wake Cup VCF042 by blissman70

Advantages: Heats water up quickly, nice looking, easy to use, sturdy and fills two cups at once
Disadvantages: none really to mention

I like a nice cup of coffee, even as far as to say I may have a bit of an addiction to the little brown molecules of marvel that can dissolve to make a tasty, refreshing brew for me to get my lips around. Then there’s tea, which I have a bit o ... Read review

I really want one of these, great review :-) by mojo-mojo
Well explained here and well reviewed. It is an interesting concept = not exactly a Teasmade when the more traditional ones can make a pot of tea or coffee - this is far easier - hot chocolate (the type you use that only needs hot water) first thing in the morning is very French - and sometimes very welcomed! by Nar2

works well enough but...
Review of Morphy Richards 43580 Infusion by geordiejohn123

Advantages: better than nothing
Disadvantages: noisy, not enough capacity, flawed design.

When I first tried this, I could not get it to work. I found out that although it is not mentioned in the manual, there is a switch underneath the drip tray which is supposed to detect whether the cups are in place or not. On mine, this was not working un ... Read review

Swiss Sieve
Review of Swissgold TF 500 by MALU

Advantages: no influence on taste, lives forever, looks good
Disadvantages: none

Everybody knows that the Brits are the world’s greatest tea drinkers although it’s far from the truth. They’re only more widely known than the small German tribe of the East Frisians (~ 465.000 people) living in the north-west corner of the country. The ... Read review

Superbly reviewed, and without coercion! I am looking for the equivalent coffee filter, having decided our use of filter papers is rather more than the British average, more closely approximating the German (although not Frisian, the foggy weather's to blame I suspect!) consumption levels... and tea should be made with a strainer, not a teabag, I agree. by pgn0

Disadvantages: a bit expensive, but worth every penny to us!

Fine Tea Machine I think that the Fine T Tea Machine is amazing - it makes the perfect cup of tea everytime! Although I was slightly sceptical at first, and it's a lot more money than a kettle, it's proved to be worth it's weight in gold! we've trie ... Read review

Sorry for the low rating, but I think that your Review needs a lot more information and detail to justify a higher rating. Don’t worry about the low rating most people get low ratings at first, its’ just a case of getting to know what to include. It helps if you write every Review as if you’re writing for someone who has virtually no knowledge of what you’re reviewing, in clear non technical language. You might find it helpful if you read and rate some other peoples’ reviews (especially those that have been rated VH or E). It might give you an idea of the sort of things you need to include. If I can be of any help or if you decide to add to or edit your review feel free to put a note in my gb, I’ll be happy to re-read and re-rate. Rich by RichPrice
A product reiew needs to tell your reader about the item in question as well as your opinion of it, and useful consumer points such as price and where you could buy it from. Use your experience of the product to help other members making a purchasing decision. It is helpful if you write your reviews offline in Word so you can spell check them before posting it to ciao. by Collingwood21
