Great campus, lots of options for studying at Stirling Uni
Review of Stirling University by Ayano

Advantages: big campus, lots of opportunities, close to centre, well equipped
Disadvantages: student halls are a bit minimalsit, and the rooms tend to be small

Stirling is the heart of Scotland, it is situated in Central Scotland, and close to Edinburgh and Glasgow. It is well connected with the rest of the country, especially by trains, which are fairly cheap, even cheaper for students. The campus is not that f ... Read review

Sheffield Hallam Uni, a great venue for conferences

Disadvantages: A bit confusing to walk around inside the buildings

Keele University
Review of Keele University by waterfield123

Advantages: it was close to home
Disadvantages: Couldn't care less staff

Now we know why it is so low in the rankings. Only half the lecturers in the English Law Department actually speak English clearly. It is an impossible task to understand a technical subject through the fog of a barely understandable thick accent. It i ... Read review

My letter of complaint ran to 6 pages and was structured very well with evidence enclosed. I numbered the points just to ensure that the substance of the complaint could not be misunderstood by anyone. Horse Chestnut trees are high order trees with preservation orders on them cherry trees are not high order tress. Many of our Horse chestnut trees are suffering from moth attack and hence those that are not need looking after. These trees were healthy and cut down to make yet another awful looking building. The course I attending unknown to me at the beginning was 'organised' across at least three different schools. Hence my reference to University not just one school. I would not recommend this university to my students. by waterfield123

Very Poor Music Course
Review of LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) by doodle1234

Advantages: Life experience you'd get at any university, musical jobs that you'll work for 3 years while there
Disadvantages: The jobs aren't paid, tutors are disorganised, you won't actually receive any musical education

As a graduate, the music course is extremely poor as another review on this site has mentioned. It is poorly organised and offers you extremely little musical education in return for what is now a ridiculous amount of money. I've suffered a lot from the ... Read review

Sorry to hear of your experience but could you detail what they do offer and why you felt they fell short. We have nothing except your very brief paragraph to go off here? by Secre
I'm sorry you had a bad experience but if you are to help others then surely your review should state what the course claimed to offer and what you expected from it so that the reader can tell if your expectations are met? Messed up bookings and lost data alone do not make a bad course. by sharper_fin

cr01, thanks for the comment. Yes, it is very expensive, however that is what a student loan is for! I had the most expensive accommodation, and while I don't go out drinking etc, I do have a very expensive hobby (motorsport!) and my student loan covered my accommodation, food, and my hobby, with some left over. Renting a house the following year, I still broke even while running a car. In my final year, I am living at home and commuting (thus with a reduced student loan) and am worse off financially. It seems a lot of money, but student finance covers it all. Thanks for the advice, I have updated the review to include the study facilities. by minnis93
Interesting stuff and those prices make my eyes water. Heh, you should have done the maths and studied out of London :o) I thought you could have added a paragraph or two about the study facilities in the University, so your review felt a little unbalanced overall. Just my take of course. by cr01

It might be worth broadening your review to cover life for those who live close to the university i.e. how close to campus are the closest/most distant halls of residence? Also, what is the library like and what sort of facilities does it offer? What does the student union offer - both in terms of societies to join and facilities like cafes, small convenience shops, travel offices etc? by KateHurst
