Advantages: Wide range of programmes; easy recording; picture & sound quality; 'free' HD
Disadvantages: Not quite the latest set top box functionality; can freeze and quite slow to reboot

Advantages: record 2 shows while watching a third, on demand
Disadvantages: responsiveness to the remote is poor

Sorry to rate low, but more needs to be added to provide a really useful review for consumers. For example, most customers would want to know how well a VCR records, but this is not covered. I'm also wondering if the failure of the Auto-Tracking feature and the sound fluctuation of the machine are intrinsic design flaws, or are they faults which have developed on the machine prior to you acquiring it?
