Falooda is a traditional Indian drink, but it's more like a dessert/milkshake. I am going to write recipes for a fantastic Falooda.
Ingredients: - Unboiled Milk (approx 4-5 cups) - Condensed Milk (1 tin) - Packet of jelly (Strawberry would be best suited for this dessert) - Custard Powder (4 tbsp) - Ripe Mango and Seedless grapes - Vanilla essence - Pista (Pistachio) essence - Green Food Colouring - Dried Grapes - Cashews
Method:
Firstly you will have to make the jelly as recommended on the packet and set in the fridge. Then mix together the condensed milk and the unboiled milk and boil at a low to medium heat. Dissolve the custard powder, only small amounts and add to the milk when it reaches boiling point. Stir the contents until the mixture is thick custard. The mixture will now have to be set to cool and once done separated into two different glasses. In one glass add vanilla essence and in the other glass add the Pista and the green food colouring. Now you can put the two glasses in the freezer for approx 45/50 minutes. After that period remove the glasses and beat the contents of the glass and again place back in freezer.
Now the main parts are done, you simply get a large glass (like and ice cream one). Pour the jelly at the bottom of the glass. Then place the mixture that you prepared, make sure the mixture is melted first. On top of the mixture place a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some thinly chopped mango and grape pieces. Finally decorate with crushed cashews.
