Mmmmmm, I was speaking to a friend of mine recently and was telling her that I was going to be having a few friends rounds and wanted to make up a jug of something a little different, so we decided a little trial and error was needed but boy am I glad we tried.
I fancied some kind of alcoholic cocktail that was a little different so here's what we did.
Not recomended for the non sweet tooth!!
1 blender I half bottle of Vodka, any brand but not flavoured. I box of After eight mints or something similar I tub of mint choc chip ice cream 5 ice cubes (depending on the size of blender)
Firstly melt apporximately 5-10 after eight mints, either by putting them in a bowl and placing them over the top of a saucepan of boiling water, or like me 15 seconds in the microwave
Tip the runny chocolate into the blender with two scoops of mint choc chip ice-cream.
Add about a quarter of a bottle of vodka
As many ice-cubes as you wish.
Then secure the lid on the blender and blend until the mixture is runny enough to pour. This mixture is usually enough for about 2-3 glasses, just make up more if need be.
You can add a little baileys if you wish to make that little bit more creamy (but beware you cannot really taste the vodka but it certainly affects you (afterwards)
Pour into tall glasses and add triangles of after eights on top to garnish.
Obviously this is alcoholic so is strictly for over 18's
