...unable to articulate his loss. Certain things cheered him, however, and my mother's Gravadlax was amongst them…

For the purposes of this review, Gravadlax is a Scandinavian dish that involves curing the freshest possible salmon in a mixture of spices, fresh dill, white wine and vodka. Tomatoes, And Their Gluts

Advantages: You can use up your glut!
Disadvantages: You might be one of the few without the carrier bag!

...these options, though, these three recipes will take care of some more of that glut. I have put them under starters as they would all make super first courses for those of you who either entertain often, or bother with such things. I hope you like them! ● BAKED TOMATOES WITH CURRIED CRÈME FRAICHE ● 100g pot crème fraiche 10cm squeeze of Patak's curry paste 12 ...
...for another time! These recipes really are for the glut of tomatoes that you, or your neighbour, or your dad, or your mate, has grown. It doesn't really matter which variety they are – although cherry tomatoes are, in my opinion, best eaten like sweeties and far too fiddly to stuff. Cheap supermarket tomatoes are tasteless, with hard, horrid skins and not much good for cooking – or eating, either. Expensive supermarket tomatoes cost far too much ...
