Drink it by the box!
Advantages: Consistently good quality wine, excellent value Disadvantages: Price can vary between retailers, beware.
I "discovered" Stowells wines when they offered them at my local Somerfield 3 bottles for £10. I chose 2 white (for the wife!) and a bottle of red for me which happened to be Tempranillo. I went back a bought a futher 3 bottles of just Tempranillo once I had finished the first bottle.
Since then, it has become my favourite wine, on my christmas and birthday lists, and i have even bought a few of the 3 litre boxes of the wine (which never seem to ... ...being my favourite? It is a consistently mellow fruity wine, easy to drink on its own or with food. It is particularly nice with cheese, but you really dont need an excuse to crack open a bottle of this beauty. For the price (providing you shop around) it is an excellent all - rounder and once that should always have a place in your wine rack. ...

Banro, Mataro, Ocado??? what's this all about
Advantages: Price match error ? get in quick Disadvantages: You could get very drunk
Banrock Station Shiraz Mataro - South Eastern Australia Bottle: 2009 75cl 13.5% This Australian Red is currently available from Tesco £34.14 per case of 6 Equivalent to £5.69 per bottle I found it from Ocado for 12 Banrock Station Shiraz/Mataro, SE Australia £35.91 advertised as a price match. I think they have mixed up 6 bottles v 12 bottles. Anyway I bought a case as I can’t resist a bargain around 50% off Tesco’s price and one of my favourite ... ...and white pepper” Produced by Banrock Stations Wines, Homes Road, Kingston, Murray. His wine is also “Help the Earth” so a contribution goes to save the planet in supporting environmental projects around the world, admirable and another reason to justify me buying it.
What’s it like?
Full of fruit, good flavour balance and that Aussie smooth softness, which is so delicious, then the spice and pepper, this is delicious. Well I don’t know how long ...

great red...says it all about Casillero del Diablo
Advantages: yum..yum..yum smooth, not heavy red wine to tickle those taste buds Disadvantages: can be pricey
Now..I'm not one for fine words and all that nonsey wine talk so I'll tell you straight. I tried this red wine a few years ago, as I wanted a change to my usual white wine and being the winter wanted something to warm me on the chilly evenings. I wondered into my local wine shop and was recommended by the helpful assistant to try this one. I've be buying it from then on. Its not too heavy as I have found some red wines can give me a headache after ... ...damn drinkable!! For those of you who are not red wine fans but fancy dipping your toe in..give this one a try, you won't regret it! I have taken abottle of this to many friends houses and they have like it so they now buy it and the word is still spreading. So go on, treat yourself and curl up and enjoy!! ...

The perfect red?
Advantages: Excellent quality, great price Disadvantages: can't think of any
...recommend that everyone who loves wine should try a bottle. I really do not know how they do it, but tesco must have a very good wine buyer. They seem to be able to provide us with good quality wine for a very keen price. And long may it continue!!! ...

Advantages: Inexpensive but a decent wine Disadvantages: None
LINDEMANS BIN 50 SHIRAZ 2007
Lindemans is one of South Eastern Australia's oldest and largest winemakers. For a couple of decades now it has been just about my favorite budget brand in the world. For as cheaply and readily available its basic products are, their wines are remarkably consistent. The base price of their standard line of wines is around £7, but they are usually on offer at one of the supermarkets for around £4. That's what ... ...produce wines in mass quantities, Lindemans wines are probably as much a work of science as they are of art. The wine making process is fairly standardized and there is a lot of effort made to do things track the temperature of the vineyards where the grapes are growing in order to achieve a consistently good yield of wine. The wines are blended to be drinkable upon release rather than to benefit from further aging. This doesn't sound like the type ...
