... They are Max Power, probably the most well known of the three, Fast Car, which is slightly strange and I do not like very much, and Redline, a simple, easy-to-read mag, which despite being easier on the eye is somewhat less popular than the others. First impressions are very good, with ... Read review

"Buy Redline if you're clueless..."

Advantages: Very easy to read, in-depth without being over-technical (ie. you can understand it!), and not focused on >ahem< breasts as much as other mags
Disadvantages: Suprisingly hard to find. Occasionally lacks decent cars.

...gift; since I started buying Redline I have accumulated two CDs, one of which is fantastic, a set of neon windscreen washers, an in-car UV light, a CD holder, a calender, and more posters than I can remember. The free gifts are top-notch, and always related to car modifying. So first impressions are good, how about the mag itself?

There are loads of regular features in Redline. First off, one of the members of staff (usually Renton, ...
...first page. Along the right hand side are a load of columns which have the current staff names and pictures along with a short, witty comment following a different topic each month.

The next page shows the cars featured in the mag, and the pages to find them on. Dominating the page is the cover car, which has a much larger pic. Next page shows the contents, ie. the regular features, cruise information, and the like. The regular features ... more

Finally a car modifying mag about... car modifying

Advantages: Grown up, not all about the boobs, good cars, good writing team.
Disadvantages: None I can think of at this minute.

...which does that. Redline is published by The Future Network, a company which I have always had a lot of time for, they have a history of publishing great magazines. They also have none of the problems that EMAP publications have about giving the biggest advertisers the best reviews. You can trust their opinion, and that is something I always find to be a major part of buying a magazine. The quality of the writing is superb. Informative, experienced, ...
...offer a honest opinion. Redline always seem to get a good mix of products too, so there is something for everyone to read. The Redline crew are also actively out there, visitng shows and cruises each and every month and returning to Bath to write about them very quickly. They are never out of date, or late in bringing you the show coverage, and their cruise coverage is second to none in my opinion. They aren't all about who has the largest breasts, ...

Fastcar Max Power clone

Advantages: Full of cars and girls
Disadvantages: Not as good as others

This is another mag about cars and tuning in the same vein as Fastcar and Max Power. It has all the same features but with unknown models gracing their pages. There is sometimes something worth reading but my advice would be is to scan through before you pay so you dont waste you money. It is worth buying if you you dont get Max.. or Fast.. but why would you not buy these cos they are actually a lot better. It is improving as a mag and with time ...

Red Ridin' in tha' hood

Advantages: good help section
Disadvantages: the language used by journelists suggests target audience is 14

this is very much a downmarket version of MAX power but this time with unknown porn stars. I only buy it if there is something free on the cover or maybe when there is a parts catologue. Its very much the same. I sometimes wonder where they get all the feature cars from I never see any on the road or maybe when Ive lost them at the lights its a feature car thats the blur in my rear veiw mirror. The help and advice section is alot more friendlier ...

HONDA CIVIC VTI SALOON 1600 CC

Advantages: Vtec very responsive, sounds amazing and is bullet proof, 4 doors very versatile, economical.
Disadvantages: NONE, its a HONDA

I own the 4 door saloon version of this car and must say that this is the best car i ever owned, I have previously owned BMW, golf, Audi, Toyota, Ford....etc. This Car is one of the most under rated out there, the vtec engine in this produces a massive 160 bhp as standard from a tiny 1.6 litre engine!!!!!!!!!!! and there is no turbo or supercharger!!!!!!!!!!!redlines at 8200 rpm, 0-60 in just 8 seconds, which is incredible. It still returns 30 mpg so very economical considering its a performance car.Mine has 4 doors, a decent sized boot, a/c, sunroof, disc brakes all round, ABS. power steering, Fully electric and best of all its a HONDA, completely bullet proof. It looks good and sticks to road like glue, The car is very well built and not prone to rust, i absolutely love it and also the fact that its very rare, makes it a real eye ...

CBR600 - Simply the Best

Advantages: handling, performance, and comfort
Disadvantages: parts expensive, dropping in value fast

If you want a motorcycle that can be comfortable to tour on, yet can also be ridden like a racer, then look no further. My CBR600 out handles any other machine that I?ve ridden, from the ZX6-r's to the GSX-r's in the same class. Nothing wants to corner like the CBR, and A superb engine delivers plenty of low down torque that is consistant all the way to its 13500 rpm redline. The handlebars are not as low as on out and out racers, so there is less wrist strain at low speeds, and the seat is more of a luxury item than your standard plank of wood with a slight covering of cloth! Bridgestone BT56 Tyres on the front and a BT57 on the rear - or even the new OWO1's would defiantly be the combination to go for. ...

Review of Honda - CBR600

Ahaa Feeling this ride !!

Advantages: Car is built for performance !
Disadvantages: looks are not that good.

I have had my E46 M3 for about a year now. My car is equipped with the Sequential Manual Gearbox. Coming from a Subaru WRX this car is a completely different experience. Before driving the M, I had always thought that most luxury sports cars are gimmicks. While I can't speak for AMGs or Audi's S line, the M is a gives the driver a very unique driving experience. The M3 can be two very different beasts. With a redline of ~8k, being below 4k RPMs can fool one into thinking the car is soft. But once you punch the acellerater and the revs start screaming to 8k you truely feel the genius of this car. I am able to drive around town and on freeways either extremely comfortably or relatively fast, depending on my mood. Not feeling like trying to hard to go fast (somewhat ironic question, I know)? press the Sport button. This button makes ...
