"Go DJ! That's My DJ!"

Reebok is a British sportswear company currently owned by Adidas. Founded in the late 1890s, it has since gone on to become a sportswear giant until Adidas took it over in 2006, but has still maintained its exclusive manufacturing for all National Football League (NFL) goods and Major League Baseball (MLB) shoes out in the United States.

DJ Shoes

The DJ shoes are a range from Reebok which have Reebok taking steps away from traditional athletic shoes as they move towards the lifestyle market with a casual piece of footwear with a sporty edge. The original ‘DJ’ shoe dropped in the mid ’00s and was known for its signature lo-top design with a large debossed ‘Rbk’ logo on the side and has since spawned sequel designs based on this one.

I bought a pair of these when simply out browsing around some local shops and these stuck out as shoes I had to own. They weren’t anything like any others I’d had before as it was my first venture out towards more casual shoes after getting many directed specifically towards use in sports (usually basketball). In spite of this, the way these were done meant that I was able to make this transition to shoe footwear without it seeming to be so significant.

The specific ones I picked up were generally white with touches of blue on the toe cap, DJ logo and the sole. I felt that this design was very straight-forward and fresh and so would suit my style extremely well. When you slip put them on, you can tell that they are put together well and certainly aren’t anything you’d be disappointed by as they are extremely comfortable and don’t require any effort to get on. One there, they offer a snug fit and don’t ache after hours of wearing them through a long day.

After owning them for a number of years, but wearing them quite infrequently, I can say that these shoes have managed to withstand obvious wear well. As the top section of it is heavily-patterned with the ‘Rbk’ logo all over it, it masks any potential creasing in this area (where it’s susceptible to that sort of damage). No visible signs of any wear can be seen on them in spite of just how long I’ve owned them and so they’re a pair that certainly last. However you’ll have to replace the laces because in spite of being exceptionally careful in them, they will always end up looking dingy over time.

Where To Buy

I personally found this pair back in 2006 at £30 in TK Maxx. As sequels have dropped since then, you’re more likely to find them than this original one, but the prices are quite reseasonable (as I haven’t found them for any more than what I found my pair for since) and so you’d be in for a treat if you purchased a pair.
