...suitable estate agents. Reeds Rains actually seems to sell quite a price range of properties without specialising in any particular type of property. While our house was lower end, Victorian terrace, I would consider Reeds Rains for any type of property except perhaps, real top end. Reeds Rains Lettings. My wife and I have been renting a house Ferryhill now for five months and all we can say is when the 6 months contract is over we cannot wait to leave the property and we never want to hear the name Reeds Rains ever again. I have never known anything like it in my life. They have not fulfilled any of there resposabilities and as for the contract, that is a complete joke. I seems that the people renting are responsable for everything ...
...fixings. After several calls to Reeds Rains lettings dept the chap came back again only this time he had to borrow a screw driver because his one was at another job. OK i lent him mine, The reason given for all the delay by Reeds Rains (who were supposed to be fully manageing the property according to our contract) was they could not contact the land lord because he was in Ireland working and he could not be contacted. Disadvantages: They're estate agents, goddammit

...actually any good? Well, Reeds Rains have pretty much national coverage and come across at least fairly professional. They don't get up your nose too much and are quite effective at their jobs. Having said that, you can't guarantee that you won't get someone who is having trouble finishing his homework, but make sure you stick to your guns and don't let them patronise you and RR will do you an okay job. ... Reeds Rains are a national chain, they are friendly enough people, they have a lot of variety (especially if you want to move to Spain), they mostly turn up for house viewings, and they did pass on our offer and get back to us pretty quickly. The independant mortgage advisor (in the back room) got us a fantastic deal which I am definately not complaining about. The biggest problem that we had was that the communication between ...

Disadvantages: Poor customer service. Useless at repairing faults

I have been renting from reeds rains for a year now and luckily I leave the property in a week and will be much happier paying a mortgage than relying on reeds rains. We have had various problems with the property the main one being in October the loft fell in. This was caused by the doorway to te hloft only being secured by glue not nails or pins and so the glue dried up and the loft fell in nearly killing my partner. We had no 24 hour number to ...
...The next day we rang reeds rains to report the problem and they came bak with their usual response of 'we'll get someone to ring you back' by the end of the day they hadn't. Basically we kept ringing them every day for over a fortnight and still didn't give us a conclusion as to when someone would fix it. ...Well im not so sure they belong in here but where else could i have pput them? I feel so strongly on this that i have to tell. Being a first time buyer i wanted good advice to set me on the way. I found a property being sold by reeds rains so i though i would go with them, what a mistake. Wrong advice and it took them 4 months to get me a mortgage, ridiculas. having spoken to other people since they have said no you would never have got one from them , dont know why they sent you ther, are just a few things we got told. turned down by 4 companies because they should never of sent us there in the first place, and it nearlly cost us the house we wanted, the only reason we got it in the end was because it was empty other wise we would have lost it. They did not communicat with us, they left thing 4 weeks without contact, and kept loosing... Read review
