Reef One biOrb Easy Plant

We purchased our Easy plant from Pets At Home and we paid just over £6.00. The price of these is currently £6.49 but there are frequent 3 for 2 offers on Biorb products if you shop online and collect in store.

Well these plants are very simple to put in place. All you need to do is remove the packaging, we then washed ours using some water from our fishtank and then just dropped them in to the tank. There is a rounded ball on the bottom that is designed to keep these plants upright and they soon settled down in the dips of the ceramic media in our fish tank.

We purchased these plants after we had some real plants that had large roots on them. Nobody in the pet store advised us that these could be a hazard to smaller fish and unfortunately we had a fish that died after getting tangled up in them, we initially felt this was a one off and the next day it happened to another fish so we got rid of the real plants and replaced them with these. Initially I was disappointed with purchasing 'fake' plants but once these were installed I was incredibly pleased with the look.

Plants are an important feature in a fish tank and they are not just there to look pretty. Plants act as a shelter for fish if they are feeling threatened or scared. As we have 14 fish in our tank there are always going to be spats that break out from time to time or even the cats looming over the fish tank to make the fish want to go and hide and I like knowing that they have some shelter should they need it.

We have had these easy plants in our fish tank for around 2 months now and have been very pleased with the quality of them. There is not really much dirt build up on the leaves at all considering the length of time that these have been submerged now. These plants were simple to clean though and we have been wiping them in the water that we removed from the fish tank when it is time to change the service kit and the water.

These plants look fantastic and with the two plants having a different design they both bring something different asthetically to our tank. I have been pleased with these for the price paid and would definitely recommend them!
