Review of Box Of Dub - Various Artists by leothesynth

Advantages: Great dubby sounds
Disadvantages: some tracks are a bit weak

BOX OF DUB-Various artists is a showcase of tracks taken from the new popular Dubstep-future garage genre. This record covers the dubbier side of the scene with names such as 'Skream, Digital mystiks, Scuba, etc) . Actually, there are quite a few very good tracks, so much so that SP could have easily left off the weaker tracks and ...
...~~~The Tracks~~~ There is a full track listing at the end of this review but here I am going to concentrate on some of the more memorable tracks. I am also going to be brutal and tell you what not to bother with. 3. Gimme the Light - Great beat, great vocal, absolutely stunning bass line backed up by good drum work. Great cross over between rap and dancehall, seems to owe a lot in my opinion to old style 'toasting'. The lyrics are definitely rap ... Read review
