The construction is metal, and very strong too, they will not corrode, and my only long term concern, is that they may well suffer from blocked holes due to limescale build up, especially in hard water areas. The connections are the quick snap on type, as are all the modern hose fittings nowadays. These ones are compatable by the way.
As long as you look after these fittings, they will last many years, unlike the cheap and nasty ones you get on market stalls. These certainly get my seal of approval. it gives a very good spray, is comfy to hold, and the trigger can be locked.
