The queen has given her warrant to this company, so she uses their toilet products does she?. This is a NEW product from those nice people at Reckitt Benckiser who manufacture our Harpic products. The product is called New Harpic Powerfoam and comes in a 400ml silver/blue metallic spray can. It costs around £1.99. ...demonstration picture on the front of the can shows it foaming a lot more than it really does. It then expands under the rim cleaning the bowl when left for a few minutes. They say 'Just spray the thick foam into the toilet, leave it to soak for a few minutes and then brush and flush away. This product is supposed to make cleaning the toilet easier but it doesn’t work half as well as it is claimed. You would have to be clean round the bend to buy this product. Harpic is well known as toilet cleaner. Infact we all know that the old fahioned kind of harpic powder could 'clean round the bend.' For years if you said 'toilet cleaner' you thought 'Harpic'. However, as with all good, tried and tested products, someone decided that it needed tinkering with. ...'other cleaner can't reach'. The pretty blue bottle comes complete with directions which, by the way, were quite small and hard to read. It looked so easy but it wasn't. You have to hold the bottle upright insiode the toilet bowl and spray under the rim. It won't fit if you hold it straight up so you have to angle it but when you angle it you get foam from the opposite side on the bottle and on your hands. ...Having tried Rekitt Benckiser’s Harpic Powerfoam to turn my toilet into a, germ free and sparkling clean without having to scrub it affair without any success, I thought that I would give Domestos a chance to see what they could do. I forked out 89p for 750ml bottle of Domestos triple action bog cleaner and hoped for the best. The dull white plastic bottle was brightened up by its plastic overcoat that was coloured a nice bright blue with splashes of red and white and a bit of yellow declaring that this was the new 50% bigger pack but it didn’t say if it was 50% dearer than the old pack. The bottle is a funny shape and the spout is positioned at a peculiar angle but it did allow for squirting the liquid right up inside the toilet bowl rim.
