dmacook
Advantages: Clear, concise and accurate
Disadvantages: It is only an introduction
...find a cheaper and more useful introduction and can usually be found cheaper than its retail price while hunting around onthe internet. It is also a great companion to 'The Christian Theology Reader' which gives extracts on some of the topics breached in the Introduction.
Read it - enjoy it! ...

Where Dreams Can Become Reality
Review of Cosmic Ordering Guide: Where Dreams Can Become Reality - Stephen Richards by
Sarahhhx
Advantages: find out the many secrets of the cosmos and how to place orders
Disadvantages: Nothing
...big big big fan of cosmic ordering.
I'm actually a catholic but practise my faith differently to traditional Catholics.
I started believing in "Something" a year ago, when I lost my mum. I became very interested in spiritual and religious books and anything that relates to spiritual and religion.
I found cosmic ordering a few weeks ago, with the help of this book.
The book contains so many tips such as a proven technique - backed up by documentary ... ...only greedy people are into cosmic ordering for the cars and the money.
It's so much more than that; it's a way of communicating to God in a completely different way and asking for things that would make you a lot happier.
We have the resources to have a good life? So why can't we ask for them.
This guide is really good and it's a great guide to the mind, body and soul. I'd recommend it to anyone, don't be greedy on your orders remember that there's ...

A Must read, for everyone
Review of Conversations with God - Neale Donald Walsch by
savmot
Advantages: Provokes thought, encourges a better way of life, moral guidance.
Disadvantages: There are no disadvantages of this book....
...that's an added bonus, but Conversations with God contains food for thought, for anyone.
Without doubt, this is the most thought provoking book I have ever read, possibly, the most thought provoking book in existence. The logic is difficult to argue with even when putting out some extremely radical ideas. ...

I bind unto myself today...
Review of Celtic Spirituality: Classics of Western Spirituality - Oliver Davies by
frkurt
Advantages: Insightful, profound, a good collection
Disadvantages: -
...is a problem dealing with Celtic spirituality, or indeed, Celtic anything. It is comparatively recently in history that the coalescence of Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Briton, Manx, and other 'Celtic fringe' cultural groups have been classified as a unified Celtic society. Certainly the early people in these regions (not to mention those on the continent) would have seen differences as outweighing the similarities, and would have found unity only in being ... ...us make sense of describing Celtic Spirituality as a category. This relates both to the earlier non-Christian Celtic religions (yes, there was more than one) and the ways in which Christianity spread to the Celtic regions. 'While recognising the importance of Celtic primal religion at the earliest and most formative stage of evangelisation of the Celtic-speaking cultures, it must be recognised that the surviving evidence for Celtic religion in sparse, ...

Good materials for construction
Review of Constructive Theology - Paul Lakeland, Serene Jones by
frkurt
Advantages: Good for self-directed study as well as group settings
Disadvantages: -
When I was in seminary, I took a course entitled 'systematic theology'. While this was indeed the subject, the task of the course was more in line with what this text deals with - at the end of that course, we had to construct (as best we could) a consistent theology that dealt with the primary areas of theological concern. The editors Serene Jones and Paul Lakeland have divided this text into six major sections, dealing with the key areas of theological ... ...and Spirit. The editors have made efforts to make a text useful to a diverse and somewhat paradoxical community situation - how does one honour the traditions while recognising innovation and individuality in the current theological scene? How does one do theology for long-established communities, newly formed community, and those who seek a more personal theological development? In each section, the editors begin some quotes or stories, vignettes ...
