...lucky about being diagnosed with 'Young On-set Parkinsons Disease' when you are in your prime, in both life and career? This book does a wonderful job of explaining just how Michael J fox is not only 'lucky', but also 'grateful'.
I grew up with Michael J. Fox. Okay, he didn't live in my house or my street, but he did live inside my TV. He was one of the most famous people of my generation. He is probably the first famous person I ever noticed, and certainly my first crush! Fair to say, I feel as though I knew him. I was always a huge fan, from Family Ties, to Teen Wolf, Back to the Future, The Frighteners, right through to Spin City, the last on-screen work he did. Basically, Michael J Fox was an icon of the 80's and 90's.
Michael Andrew Fox was born in Edmonton, Canada in June of 1961. He grew up in Permanent Married Quarters...

Or rather do you picture the Michael J. Fox of September 1998 as he announced to the worlds media that he had the degenerative neurological disease Parkinsons…
Me? Well I will confess to having been horrified to witness Fox stutter and twitch his way through that announcement and felt the stinging irony of the ever-youthful looking actor being the victim of the relatively rare “young on-set” version of this debilitating disease.
I do remember thinking that we wouldn’t be seeing him in the public eye again...
