...Why is it that we are never happy with the hair type we have naturally? If we have straight hair, we lust after the bouncy curls sported by other women. And if we have curly or frizzy hair we yearn for the sleek smoothness of the straight haired bunch! Explain that one… Anyone remember back to before all these straighteners arrived on the market? The brown paper and clothes iron technique? I have the fine hair type, but it falls in the frizzy not quite curl category. I use a good conditioner and try to use good shampoos, but there are days when all simply fails, and I end up looking like I have received a 200 volt electric shock or have been exposed to a strong static field. Advantages: Gets hair straighter

...variable heat settings, digital technology, 'ready to use' light. Its just got an on - off sliding switch, which is quite annoying as i've caught it many a time by accident and switched it off mid way through straightening. It does take a while to heat up sufficiently. I usually switch it on 5 minutes before I want to use it. The box doesn't state how hot the straighteners get, or how long it should take, and to the best of my knowledge, there was no instructions to accompany the product. If my hair is slightly damp, it seems to take ages. I've had my hair straightened at the hairdressers and there's no way it gets as hot as theirs - the hairdressers gets so hot that steam comes off my hair!!!! I would say that it gets hair straighter - not completely straight. The cord may be too short for people who do not have access to a close... Read review

...WOW, an amazing product which actually lives up to the expectation. It is perfect for fizzy hair and will easily smooth down an uncontrolled mane. After gliding it over strands of my wavy hair 3-4 times, my hair turns in to sllek and super straight in just a couple of minutes. The Remington works well on dry, damp or wet hair, but I prefer on damp hair as I feel it doesn't dry my hair out as much. The grip fits comfortably in my hand, making it a very easy tool to use. You will be relieved to know that it is a light product which doesn't tire your arms that easily. Be cautious not to put your hands over the steam outlets to prevent burning. It is a good idea to use a heat protector on your hair when you use hair straightners.... Read review
