I own GHDS and I love the fact that they not only give a poker straight look but also they create very glamorous curls, My friend came to my house the other week and she had just purchased the Babyliss pro porcelain revel conical wand curling tongs and she had done her hair that morning with them, her hair looked so amazing, the best I?ve seen it in years, I love the curls that ghd give don?t get me wrong but these tongs give a more bouncer curl and soon as I saw her hair I fell in love with the tongs, she told me I could try them out the next day, so the next day I went to her house and Tried them on my hair, and I loved them, I also curled my hair extensions with them and they looked fabulous.

...I have random kinks in my hair which I hate and my previous hair straightners didn't leave my hair straight for long.
In boots I was faced with about 15 different makes of hair straightners. My friend had ghd straightners but I thought they were a bit pricey so was looking for something with just as good quality but a lower price.
An advisor in boots helped suggest different straightners to me and told me what different functions they had.
I decided to go with the Remington sleek & curl straightners which were about £49.99 at the time. They came in a lovely black suede box which was heat protected and inside the box came an instruction dvd, booklet, guarantee, the straightners and a travel, heat protected travel pouch for the straightners. I travel a lot and the travel pouch was perfect to protect my straightners from damage...

Advantages: Gets hot real quick and you can curl your hair too Disadvantages: Curling needs a lot of practice before you get it right
...Although I am Chinese, I have very wavy/curly hair. It is unruly to say the least and the only way to keep it under control most days, is by tying it up in a bobble, and hoping that it doesn't try to take over the world! On the days I can be bothered (or if I am getting ready for a special occasion) I will straighten it. This used to be a real chore as it would take me about 40 minutes, and would rarely be completely straight. Thanks to my boyfriend, who bought me these for christmas, my hair is no longer unruly, and it takes me half the time.
What You Get:
These slimline straighteners are made by Remington, a good and reliable brand in electrical hair care. They come in a really posh black suede effect presentation box which is supposed to be heat proof. I have not tested this out as I always let mine cool before I put them away...
