Advantages: GHD quality for half the price
Disadvantages: I keep pressing the "OFF" button by mistake!

...night, a friend had brought Remington 2x ceramic straightners round-I used these and could not tell the difference between GHD'S. Ok, these cost around £49.99 and you can get them from anywhere-Argos, Index etc. They heat up in around 10 seconds-it's only a few seconds more than GHD's anyway! They have ceramic plated irons, and are fairly slim, they have an on/off sliding button, and a red light appears when they are switched on-the only downfal ...
...your thumb may turn them off again, but this shouldn't be too much of a problem! When starightening hair, I have fairly thick hair and I find I need to run down my hair 1-2 times for it to be poker staright (this is when I have sectioned it), these heat upto an incredible heat (can't find the booklet but will find out for you!) so you do need to be careful when starting at the roots. They look really slender, easy to handle, on/off switch on the side, plug comes with, they are plain black thongs with pastel yellow ceramic irons. Advantages: cheap, 60 second heat up, super smooth straight hair, lasts until you next wash your hair
Disadvantages: after regular use the ceramic comes off as they are not solid only coated

...I have straightened my hair since i was quite young first using those metal plate straighteners that you have to clamp down so hard and then try and overlap the line you left. they took about 15 mins to heat up and forever to use and the results were no different if you wanted to only get rid of frizz and kinks. so imagine when i found out about ghds i was ecstatic only to find out they cost about £65 at the cheapest. This was obviously a no-no. Then a good friend of mine introduced me to the remington power ceramic straighteners and they had just as good results. Eventually we started a bit of a cult in our year at school because they were such good value. I only straighten my hair once a week to minimise damamge but my one friend was straightening hers every day and also using them at school to straighten other peoples when we noticed... Read review

REMINGTON CS3000 CERAMIC HAIR STRAIGHTENER Ta-daaaaaaaaaaaaa (That's just because I think it's so wicked!) Now I am a natural red head and wouldn't change my colour for the world, but I would change the thickness of it! No matter what I do to it, it's always thick and wavy, regardless of frizz-free shampoos, hair serums and other hair products! There is not a single day that goes by when my hair is straight. It usually has a huge kink in it or it sticks out and on some days, I can look like Sonic the bleeding hedgehog! ...Remington cs3000 ceramic hair straighteners - I hereby salute you and put you on a pedestal Having been blessed with slightly wavy hair- if I don't use straighteners my hair is more bush baby than sleek goddess- I have used other hair straighteners before but none have been able to rival Remington's ceramic ones I owe many good hair days to Remington, having to use them every other day they make it easy for me to straighten my hair quickly and efficiently However there is a flaw with them- I have bought two consecutive pairs of these straighteners, the first pair lasted for a year but the second pair which I only purchased in July just gone have only lasted for 5 months The general problem that I have found with both of the pairs that I have bought is that, whilst they do everything they say on the box and are a fab pair...
