Advantages: Case, fantastic soft curls, do not damage hair Disadvantages: Wire become too bent to be of use, heavy, not for short hair
...Bought these just after Christmas after having perm that didn't work and needed something to create some curls in the mess that was my shoulder length hair. I had never used heated rollers before so was not at all sure how to use them or if they would work.
Was very pleasantly surprised at the results. They take 30 mins to heat up and are fairly easy to put in. Your hair really needs to be 5-6" long or they will not stay in as the ends do not have enough purchase to grip the hair, probably because they are fairly heavy. I found keeping them in for the 30 mins or so needed for the curls to take required the use of a shower cap to take the weight off the rollers as they fell out every time I took a step.
Another thing to be aware of is that with continued use (3-4 times/week) I found that unless you unbend then VERY carefully...

Advantages: Price, dries quickly, plenty of accessories Disadvantages: .........
...When it comes to my hair, I’m a pretty low maintenance kind of girl, tending to simply wash and leave it to dry naturally. This is why I’d had the same hairdryer, which had been handed down to me by Angel’s mam, for the past 5 years or so. I did use it every now and again when I had a big night out and wanted to make a bit of an effort with my hair, but it had spent most of it’s life being chucked in various places when I tidied up, and somewhere along the line had lost it’s concentrator nozzle and other bits and pieces. So, when my next party came up, I decided to finally buy a new one. I had a quick look round on the net, before deciding on the RemingtonHairEnvy Volume & Curl.
The main reason I went for this particular model was that it seemed like really good value, as I managed to find it on offer online for £19, the normal...

Advantages: Lots of extras, quiet, nice design, good packaging Disadvantages: None
...I have always air-dried my hair because it seemed to be the best way for my long, curly hair. However, it was taking several hours so I decided to invest in a new hairdryer. This model seemed ideal, as it is aimed at my hair type, with its additional rollers, diffuser and clips (good for sectioning thick hair).
It has turned out to be a very good hairdryer - I have used it, with the diffuser, and can create many different styles. Having put my hair into 'twists' it dries it very sensitively - it doesn't blow it around to create frizz. It is also a good weight to use for half an hour or more, as my hair still takes a while to dry. Without putting it into twists, with the diffuser I've got some great curls.
The clips have been really useful, and the rollers are a good start to try out, although more are needed to use for a whole style...
