Advantages: Cheap, they do work if used on highest heat setting. Disadvantages: Doesn't stay straight for long unless used at a very high temperature.
After my old straightners broke, I went out looking for some new ones.
I didn't want anything fancy I just wanted some that would keep my hair straight.
I came across these at boots, they were reduced from £49.99 to £24.99.
The fancy packaging on them says on the front of the box 'join the shine revolution.'
They also claim to 'create no frizz, sleek hair wih up to 70% more protection from hair splitting and damage. Using the words first straightner with high-heat Teflon Woven Fabric ceramic plate technology.
The micro-fibre weave, wraps and cushions the hair, striaghtening with kindness and enviable shine.'
This really appealed to me as even after using protective heat spray I still use to get some split ends with my old straightners.
The straigtners come with heat protective mat which is very useful.as they don ...
Advantages: Fast drying, shine and volume Disadvantages: No 'bits and pieces' just the dryer

The RemingtonD 4410 looked a bit pathetic in it's lonely box. Half the size of the many of the other dryers and without any accompaniments I was a little disappointed. Although slightly boring looking in grey and silver, the dryer is stylish and despite not being in the shape of a duck, I learned to love the D4410 very quickly, and here's why:
- There is no doubt that the D4410 ...
Advantages: Heat up very fast. Disadvantages: People assume they're not as good as GHD.
, ceramic straighteners hit our shelves! Great.
I have always been really happy with my Remington straighteners, then, Wet to Straight came out. I was very intrigued, but again, they were, and still are, ridiculous prices. So, I decided to try my straighteners out on my damp hair, after a brief towel-dry. Obviously, due to Health & Safety Regulations, I am not recommending this to anyone, but, I have been straightening my damp hair with my normal Remington 2X Protection straighteners for about 3 months now. I have not electrocuted myself, and I must say that my hair has changed from being well straightened to unbelievably well-conditioned Godess stylee be-A-utiful hair.
I have been training to be a hair stylist for the past 9 months now, and have used almost every brand of straighteners that exist. Although GHD straighteners do the job ...
