...I own remington straighteners and I personally would recommend then. my hair has a natural kink and is very wavey and when i use the straighteners my hair becomes poker straight. They do become very very hot because there is no heat settings which is an advantage really with my type of hair as with other straighteners i have used it takes a while to do my hair, but with remingtons the time spent doing your hair decreases. As they do get very hot a concern to many people is that they will be burn your hair I have never burnt my hair using remingtons. They are very easy to use as all you do is plug them in. I have noticed that your not waiting ages for them to heat up they heat up very quickly which is good for people who are in a rush. Advantages: heat up fast, glides smoothly, ceramic plus Teflon coated, durable, 3 year warranty, safety carry case included and Excellent VALUE for money
Disadvantages: on/off switch can get switched off accidentally when holding

...to find an alternative ceramic hair straightener… I spent well over a year deciding which hair straightener to go for and it's about a year since Ciao added this Remington product after my request and I'm glad to see there are already 3 User reviews. Now I'm finally able to form my own opinion after a years usage. Why Remington? And not GHD's… Due to the reasons mentioned above of high cost of GHD's I had also read worrying reports about GHD's blowing up, yes that's right, people have mentioned they saw flames coming out from the cable, whilst others have reported after a while they stop coming on or heat up much hotter than before.
