What a great little gadget The Remington Fuzz-Away is, I remember the first one I got as a pressie about 15 years ago, I'm now on my third one due to the fact that the first one I owned was stepped on and the second was borrowed and I did'nt get it back!
This little battery operated gadget is used for shaving off those unsightly bobbles that appear on your clothes, I've used it with very good results on socks, jumpers, tops, trousers and jogging bottoms, But it can also be used on cushions,curtains and bedding ect and isn't just limited to clothing.
The Fuzz-away is simply a low voltage battery operated fabric shaver which is small and lightweight and fits nicely in the hand. It has a perforated mesh head which is glided back and forth over the fabric until the bobbles are removed.
The bobbles are removed by the small rotating blades behind the mesh head and are sucked through the holes in the mesh and into the small see through storage compartment,
You may have to go over the area a few times to get a good result so it does need a bit of patience, but its really easy and satisfying to see the fabric renewed.
The blades last for ages (years) but will lose their sharpness over time and then it may take a bit more effort, I've had my Fuzz-away for about 4 years and the blades are still sharp enough to do the job, but so far I have'nt found out if replacement blades are available.
Basically it makes your clothes or any other fabric look better and last a bit longer giving them a new lease of life when you might otherwise have thrown them out, the see through compartment slides off easily to be emptied and the mesh head can also be easily removed for cleaning.
The fuzz-away is all very safe and easy to use , has an on/off switch , takes 1 size C battery and makes a low buzzing noise when switched on. A handy little item to have around but can be quite harsh on the batteries, but not such a big deal if only using it every so often.
I bought this a few years ago at the market for £5.00 and as far as I remember came in a see through package with easy to follow instructions on the back.
I have' nt seen them in the shops lately, but Ebay is selling one for £10.50 !

I remember the commercial it was the old grey haired bloke "Its guaranteed or your money back" he also did a shaver,his voice used to go right through me I had to switch over!!! Cold have certainly done with this a few years ago,as some of my old clothes are hels together by the FUZZ!!! nice review -DAZ-
