I won't go into amazing detail as there are so many good reviews on here but i bought these for my girlfriend as she kept borrowing out her old GHD's which her friend seemed to ruin and she loves them. She is a hairdresser and swears by GHD she should actually just change jobs and promote them that?s how passionate and convincing she can be. And to quote her in some way - Yes they are more expensive than most of the other brands but unless you are really unlucky you will never need to own another pair of straighteners again as they are so good and durable. The fact that she can do hers & my hair in just one stoke achieving perfect straightness is amazing and after seeing others struggle and steam go flying into the hair i recommend you spend the extra pennies because it is worth it. Remington S9810 Genius Straighteners... not so Genius really!

Advantages: A digital display and the option to change the temperature.
Disadvantages: Poor quality and a horribly expensive price tag.

I must admit I am a big fan of GHD hair straighteners. Ever since my Mum bought me a pair of them last Christmas I would never go back to any other brand. However I am a member of the Amazon Vine programme and I received a pair of these Remington Genius straighteners for free. Genius Straighteners? Remington state that if you want cutting edge technology that?s usually found in hair salons, then these are the straighteners for you. In fact, Celebrity Hairdresser of the Year, Steven Goldsworthy, goes as far as saying these are the Ferrari of all hair straighteners! Cute straighteners!

Advantages: Poker straight hair, curls, waves, long lasting
Disadvantages: cost but well worth it, may burn your fingers

I have a pair of these straighteners at home and so far they have lasted me two years!! I got them as a christmas present and believe they retail for around £100.00. The straighteners are no different to the normal ghds in terms of how they work the only difference is is the colour! The colour is the reason I wanted these ghds I am afraid to admit it! My black ghds were perfectly fine but these ones are just so cute and girly. They take less than a minute to heat up and bleep once they are fully heated so you know you can use them! Another good thing about them is that if you accidently leave them on which I often do, they turn themselves off after half an hour so you don't burn the house down! I think this is a great idea as I often left my old style ghds on had to rush home to turn them off, one day I left them on all day ...
