Advantages: Ease of use, can be used in the shower/bath, rechargable Disadvantages: havent found any
...I got one of these earlier this year as a gift and love it to bits. Previously I have always used a disposable razor and have ended up with a rash etc. But not with this. It has a little wheel on the side to adjust the cutting length and the guide comes off for cleaning and really short cutting.
Mine is the rechargeable version so you dont need to purchase batteries. It doesnt need charging all that often, I usually put it on charge after every 3-4 uses. I havent timed how long it takes to recharge, as I leave it on charge overnight.
You can also use it in the shower/bath if you wish as it is waterproof.
Good points:
Rechargeable
Doesnt leave me with a rash etc
Makes a neat and tidy job
Comes with stylish metalic carry pouch
Compact and lightweight
Disadvantages
Havent found any...

Advantages: Portable, Compact. Disadvantages: No Different Temperture, Too expensive to run.
...Even though BaByliss is one of the top hair products, this product really isn't worth buying. Although it is portable and compact but it's really not useful for straightening your hair.
There is no different temperature settings, which isn't very useful as the set temperature really isn't that hot!
The BaByliss 2581U is powered by a Gas cartridge, the cartridges cost around £5 for two, which isn't that cheap as they run out very quickly. You also have to push down very hard on the plates for it to take effect, but then you run the risk of burning yourself. So in experience these straigteners really aren't worth buying, i reccommend you try some remingtons straighteners instead, they might be a little more expensive but worth it!...

Advantages: light, compact, good for travelling, not expensive Disadvantages: lacks power and options, made cheaply
...This Remington hairdryer D-3157 is a very good hairdryer for the price, I think it has many advantages and it's good value. I bought this hairdryer from Argos this year for £14.99. At the time I was looking for a hairdryer with a diffuser to style my hair curly that wouldn't be too big to pack in a suitcase for travelling with. I didn't have much time to look for one but I chose this because it wasn't expensive and it's compact which was ideal for taking on holiday because of its size.
This hairdryer is a 2000 watt with three heat and two speed options, the weight is not too heavy as it's only 0.275g and the diffuser and concentrator attachments were included. It's not complicated to use because of the fact that it only has a few different settings. I like the design too which is a nice mainly green and black with silver on the front...
