Advantages: Plent features, good price Disadvantages: Shave nor close enough, noisy
...I purchased the RemingtonMS5800 shaver on the basis that it seemed to be laden with features, offering a close shave (closer than Philips multi head), power remaining indicator, quick charge, rechargeable and all at a good price.
It is quite a chunky shaver and unfortunately it doesnt give me an all over close shave. The shaver struggles in the harder to get at areas of the face, it is extremely noisy and most of the shaved hair falls to the floor rather than being captured in the shaver. In my opinion, the Philips multi head shavers provide a much better, even shave, albeit not as close as foil shavers in the easy to get at areas. On balance multi head is best for me. I therefore would not recommended this Remington...

The Bad point. There is no indication as to whether it is fully charged or how much charge is left in the unit but I have seen the higher grade model and it does so that may be a reason why this is the cheaper option. Does that mean that my mother didn't think I was worth the extra...

Advantages: Great clean shave, quick charge time, funky colours Disadvantages: Design and position of on/off button is infuriating!
...I used to have an old Remington shaver and since that lasted about 4 years before it finally gave up the ghost, I decided to go for another. I plumped for the F510 F5 because it was on special offer at Amazon, so I got it for Ģ29.99! Extra features for no extra cost were a big lure I have to say! The main selling point is that the F510 uses Titanium coated foils, which is meant to give a better "cutting performance" and they're supposed to last longer. Initially I was quite sceptical as I don't believe anything can replace the feel of a wet shave, but I was surprised! These titaniumfoils are brilliant! The overall shave is much smoother, and over about 6 months I've not noticed any...

This was a great bargin I picked up for my fiance, at half the retail price. I'm not sure that we would be willing to pay near on Ģ100 for this shaver though. It is very good in that you only need to go over an area a couple of times and it is done,... more
