Remington MS 5700 Microscreen Titanium Ultra

Having looked around, checking out prices as well as other reviews on electric shavers i decided to go for the Remington MS 5700. When you first get the MS 5700 out of the box it looks like a pretty impressive shaver, it feels very nice to hold and you can see there has been a lot of time spent in the shape and design of the shaver making it easier to use.

The "unique 2 position pop-up foil for precision shaving and styling" as quoted from there website is a good design, it feels great on the skin and up to now i haven't had any shaving rashes as i had been getting with my Phillips. Though this doesn't mean you won't get a shaving rash for the first few times you use it, as they warn in the hand book which comes with the shaver.

Although there is no shaving rashes and it feels great on the skin, i can't help feeling the shave isn't as close as a Phillips. The shaver always seems to leave the odd hair and isn't as good at shaving on the neck as a Phillips but then again is there an electric shaver that can give you a perfect shave on the neck? This has improved though over the past couple of weeks, which leads me to believe it takes a couple of weeks to wear in the blades and to get use to the technique of the razor as strangely enough the harder you press the shaver to your face the worst shave you'll get as you flatten the hairs on your face.

The deluxe LCD display with minutes remaining indicator is a god send, you know exactly when your going to run out of battery and if that wasn't enough it also runs from the mains and has a 5 minute reserve of power which you can press when the battery power has presumably run out, giving you an extra 5minutes of shaving time to finish up!

The charging time of the shaver from my experience is rather fast at just 1 hour of charge for up to 55 minutes of shaving time or a 5 minute quick charge for a single shave, though i have not tested the 5 minute charge so the time limit on a "single shave" is anyones guess.

The last asset this shave has its that its washable, keeping it clean, i have found that its very easy to clean and doesn't take to long.

Over all i would recommend this shaver. It looks great, feels great and i have faith in its shaving ability. I know i won't be taking mine back anytime soon!
