The twin foils offer a smooth shave over the face, they are sprung loaded and follow the contours well. There is no irritation, so I found I could go over the same spot many times without ... ...when using a foil from a rotary is that this shaver feels smoother and glides accross the face more freely, and generally feels more pleasant than a rotary. The only drawback, is that it takes longer, and due to the linear path of the blades as opposed to a rotary, you will probably find you need to go over the same spot in 2-3 different directions to get all the hairs. This is not an irritation to the skin, but time is worth a lot to some people.
