(+) Funky pattern, quick to heat up, adjustable temperature, slim, lighweight (-) Have to prise them away from mum when I want to use them in the morning
Advantages: Heat up very fast. Disadvantages: People assume they're not as good as GHD.
they are made to do, which is to straighten your hair, they do zap all of the moisture out of your hair at the same time. I am also not a big fan of the poker-straight look, it just looks limp and lifeless to me.
I misplaced my Remingtons2 weeks ago, unfortunatley just after my tutor had given me the most gorgeous hair cut that could only look good if worn straight. After a week of looking through various catalogues, trying to decide which straighteners to replace them with, (and straightening my new 'do' very quickly at college in the five minutes before my tutor arrives, because he said he would only cut it if I promised to straighten it!), also now with a considerably larger budget, and well able to afford GHD. I had decided to go and buy exactly the same Remington2XProtection straighteners again. They have proooved themselves ...
a metre long, so it can be quite difficult if your mirror is a fair distance from your plug socket, thats problem number 1.
I do not use any product whatsoever on my hair , maybe a little hairspray at the end before going out but always washed off in the morning, so it was to my dismay that after around 3 uses of these straightners that the coating which was on the plates started to come off!!!!. This is backed up by a friend who also later bought them and achieved the same result.
Cost
When I bought these they where £45, but apparently they are in the avon book now for £10, well I can advise you ...
Advantages: A digital display and the option to change the temperature. Disadvantages: Poor quality and a horribly expensive price tag.
I must admit I am a big fan of GHD hair straighteners. Ever since my Mum bought me a pair of them last Christmas I would never go back to any other brand. However I am a member of the Amazon Vine programme and I received a pair of these Remington Genius straighteners for free.
Genius Straighteners?
Remington state that if you want cutting edge technology that?s usually found in hair salons, then these are the straighteners for you. In fact, Celebrity Hairdresser of the Year, Steven Goldsworthy, goes as far as saying these are the Ferrari of all hair straighteners! After reading this I was certainly intrigued, could they really be as good as they sound?
The plates on these straighteners have the most advanced Ceramic coating, vital if you want a smooth finish with your straighteners, rather than a static look. They also ...
