The straighteners take roughly around one minute to heat up. The maximum temperature of which you can set the straighteners to is 200 degrees Celsius. To change the temperature there is a small wheel in which you push around in order to change the temperature between140°C - 200°C.On the side of the straighteners there is a light which flashes that flashes until the selected temperature has been reached. The best feature of these hair straighteners is that they automatically turn off within one hour, this is good if you are the sort of person who forgets to turn them off and after all you won't want them to start a fire! After a few months of using them I noticed my hair was starting to get damaged even though I had always used plenty of heat protection shampoos, conditioners and sprays. To avoid this I would recommend use them every 2-3 days. To manage to keep your hair straight you will need to use them on the highest heat setting possible this normally keeps your hair straight for 2 days. The main thing i like about these hair straighteners was because of them turning themselves off after an hour as if im in a rush like i am normally i can sometimes forget to turn things off.
