Normally i would advise avoiding cheaper brands of straightening irons, because they tend not to work so well, but i bought these when my expensive ones broke and i hadnt been paid, just as a temporary thing, and i am so glad i did. These work so well! My hair went poker straight first time, without any frizziness, and i didn't even need the temperature settings because they worked so well on all of them. The result is really good, GHD standard without the price

I havent had any technical difficulties at all with this product, they are pretty durable and last a long time without any breaking, even with frequent use.

You can lock them shut if you want, with a little clip at the base- i never use it myself but i imagine it would be pretty usefull.

The irons are pretty wide, which is really useful for thick hair, but will work fine on thin hair too. And it is easy to use them to make curls or waves because they dont have annoying edges. Overall i would say these are a really good buy for a bargain price, you really can't go wrong, so don't bother spending tonnes on expensive ones because these are really salon quality, and i have really thick hair so i know how frustrating it is to get straighteners that only half-work.
The result is long lasting as well, i have found- if i straighten my hair it lasts about 2-3 days although it relaxes obviously so it looks naturally straight rather than salon straight.
If you're on the fence, go for it, these are really good value and work to salon quality.
