Before getting this straighter, i had a similar previous remington model without the whole on/off button. It broke about in 9 months. Fell on the floor a few times and in the end fell again and snapped in half so i got lookin for another pair..
Even though i should of looked for a different brand, I couldnt help myself and in the end these turned out to be soooo gooood compared to the old ones. Leaves it straight and everything you would expect a good straightner to do.
A little tip: when your straightners are off and cooling down and their at a temp that you can touch it (warm) wipe the plate with baby wipes to remove any marks left on it from like hairspray or something you put in your hair, cause then this residue builds up and its just nasty to use on your hair :)
